People coming to the UK as asylum seekers or refugees come in good faith expecting a safe haven. However, it is not an easy process and people often struggle to become settled and integrated. Our two contributors have each faced danger and hardship in their respective countries forcing them to flee and find safety for their families. They met as part of the Voices Network of the Red Cross and have become fast friends as they seek to make life easier for migrants and residents alike. In this conversation, they are answering questions from 13 and 14 year old school students who were studying ‘Migration’ as a learning topic.
